square of side 6 cm = diameter of the circle

∴diameter of the circle= 6 cm ⇒radius =6÷ 2= 3cm

∴radius = 3cm

∴area between the square and the circle  area of the circle - area of the circle

⇒side^2    -   π r^2

⇒6×6  -3.142 ×2×2

⇒36 -3.142 ×4

⇒36 -12.568

⇒23.432 sq cm ANS
