Given  : A circle is inscribed in a triangle with sides measuring 4 cm 6 cm and 8 cm

To Find :  what is the area of the circle

Solution:

sides measuring 4 cm 6 cm and 8 cm

s = (4 + 6 + 8)/2   =  9

Area of triangle = √9(9- 4)(9-6)(9-8)

= √9 * 5 * 3 * 1

= 3 √15

Area of triangle  = s * r    ( r is radius of inscribed circle )

=> 9r  =  3 √15

=> r  =  √15 / 3

Area of circle  = π r²

= π ( 15/ 9)

=  5  π/3

= 5.236   cm²
