A circle of radius 10cm has two tangent AB and CD are parallel to each other what is the distance between these tangents ? (Why)

Heya Frnd.......... ☺

Tangents are perpendicular to the center of the circle. Therefore , when 2 tangents are || , they form 180° at the center of the circle.

Therefore the line formed by connecting them from the center forms Diameter.

Therefore,

Since ,
diameter = 2 × radius.

Therefore ,

THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM = 2 × 10

= 20 cm............ANS

the answer of your respective question is.......
when ever two chords are parallel to each other they will always form an angle of 180°
and also the line connecting them be the DIAMETER.....
as we have,
radius=10cm
and,
diameter=2×radius=2×10=20cm
