area of circle = πr²

= 22/7 × 2 × 2

= 88/7

= 12.57 cm²

circle is divided into four equal sector

each sector area will be = area of circle/4

= 12.57/4

= 3.14 cm²

area of sector = x⁰/360 × π r²

circle is divided into four equal sector therefore the angle subtended at centre = 360/4 = 90⁰

= 90/360 × 22/7 × 2 × 2

= 1/4 × 88/7

= 22/7

= 3.14 cm²
