The required area of left over piece is 264 cm ²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Radius of small circle ; r= 4 cm

Radius of large circle ;R= 10 cm

Now we have to find the area of leaf over is one small circle i cut from a larger circle having same center

Therefore

As we know area of circle is give by πr² where r is the radius of circle

The required area = area of larger circle - area of smaller circle

\text {Required area } = \pi R^2- \pi r^2 \\\\\Rightarrow \text {Required area } = \pi (10^2-4^2) =\dfrac{22}{7} (100-16)\\\\\Rightarrow \text {Required area } =\dfrac{22}{7} \times 84 = 22 \times 12= 264cm^2

Hence the required area is 264 cm ²
