area \: of \: square - area \: of \: circle \\ {a}^{2} - \pi {r}^{2} \\ {10}^{2} - \frac{22}{7} \times 5 \times 5 \\ 100 - \frac{550}{7} \\ \frac{700 - 550}{7} \\ \frac{150}{7} \\ 21.428... \\ 21.43

Answer:

Side of square is 10cm(equal to the diameter)

Thus, area is 100cm²

Area of circle is 78.5cm²

Hence area of shaded portion is100-78.5

21.5cm²
