Given, A circle touches all the sides of ABCD.
also AB = 5, BC = 8 and CD = 6.
we have to find AD = ?
see figure, here a circle of centre O touches all sides of quadirateral ABCD.
We know that, if a circle touches all the sides of a quadrilateral, then AB + CD = BC + DA
Given AB = 5, BC = 8, CD = 6
⇒ 5 + 6 = 8 + DA
⇒ 11 = 8 + DA
⇒ DA = 3
∴ AD = 3
hence, AD = 3
