Answer:area of circle having radius 11cm

Area=pie×r^2

So 22/7×11×11

1.57×22×11

388.94cm^2 take as A1

Now area of circle having radius 9cm

22/7×9×9

1.28×22×9

253.44 cm^2take asA2

Now to find area of shaded region

A1-A2

388.94-253.44

=135.50cm^2

Answer:

let the radius of bigger circle be 'R' = 11 cm

area of bigger circle = πR²

similarly,

let the radius of smaller circle be 'r'=9 cm

area of the smaller circle = πr²

=> Area of the shaded region =  πR² -  πr²

                                                 =  π(R² -  r²)

                                                 = π(R+r)(R-r)..............[using eq. (a²-b²)=(a+b)(a-b)]

                                                 =  π(11+9)(11-9).............putting given values

                                                 = 22/7 x 20 x 2

                                                 = 125.6 cm²
