Answer :-

10 bulbs can be used safely in the circuit.

Given :-

  • Power, P = 110 W
  • Voltage, V = 220 V
  • Current , l = 5 A

To Find :-

  • Number of bulbs which can be used ??

Solution :-

Let x bulbs can be used safely .

Now,

Power of 1 bulb = 110 W

So,

Power of x bulbs ( P ) = 110 × x watts

potential difference ( V ) = 220 volts

Current ( l ) = 5 amperes

we all know that

P = V × l

where,

P = power .

V = potential difference

l = Current

Putting all the values in the above formula , we get

⇒ 110 × x = 220 × 5

⇒ x = 220 × 5 / 110

⇒ x = 10

Hence, 10 bulbs can be used safely in the circuit.
