A circuit has three resistors all parallel.
R1=5ohm R2=10 R3=30 connected to a battery of 12v.
Find total resistance in the circuit,total current in the circuit and current thought each resistor.

1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3
1/R = 1/5 + 1/10 + 1/30
1/R = 6/30 + 3/30 + 1/30
1/R = 10/30 = 1/3
Resistance of the circuit is 3 ohms .

V = IR
12 = I * 3
I = 4 Ampere

5 ohm resistor
V = IR
12 = I * 5
I = 2.4 A

10 ohm resistor
V = IR
12 = I * 10
I = 1.2 A

30 ohm resistor
V = IR
12 = I * 30
I = 0.4 A

1/R=1/R1+1/R2+1/R3
= 1/5+1/10+1/30
=10/30=1/3
1/R=1/3
SO R=3

V=IR
12=I*3
I=4

I=V/R

current through 1st resitence= 12/5
current through 2 resistance =12/10
current through 3 resistance = 12/30
