r of the plot=42/2=21m--r

Width of the path=3.5m 

Hence, outer radius=21+3.5=24.5m--R

Area of the path= pi*(R^2-r^2)

=>22/7*(24.5+21)(24.5-21) [a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b) identity]

=>22/7*45.5*3.5

=>11*45.5

=>500.5 sq.m
