A circular cycle track has a circumference of 314m with AB as one of its diameter.A cyclist travels from A to B along the circular path.Find (i)the distance moved by the cyclist and (ii) displacement ​

1. Circumference of Circle = 314 m = 2πR

Distance moved from A to B = 2πR / 2

= 314 /2 = 157 m.

2. Displacement = shortest distance from A to B = diameter length AB

= 2πR = 314m

2R = ( 314 / π ) m

where, ( 2R = Diameter of Circle)

D = 314 / 3.14 = 100 m
