Given :

  • A circular disc of diameter 7 cm is divided into two equal parts

To find :

  • find the perimeter of each semicircular shape disc.

Solution :

the perimeter of the semicireular disc will be equal to the sum of circumference of semicircular disc and diameter ot the circle.

Radius of the semicircular disc= 7cm

We know that circumference of circle = 2πr

Hence circumference of semicircle

= ½ x 2πr

πr =22/7 x 7

= 22 cm

Diameter of the circle

= 2 x r

= 2 x 7

= 14 cm

Perimeter of cach semicircular disc

=22 cm + 14 cm

= 36 cm

Answer:

The perimeter of each semi circular disc is 36cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

  • A circular disc of diameter (d) 7cm is divided into two equal parts.

➡ So, Radius (r) of circular disc is 7cm.

As we know that,

✒Circumference of semicircle = 1/2 × 2πr

➡ Circumference of semicircle = 1/2 × 2 × 3.14 × 7

➡ Circumference of semicircle = 3.14 × 7

➡ Circumference of semicircle = 21.98 \approx 22cm

Now, we know that,

✒ Diameter(d) = Radius (r) × 2

➡ Diameter = 7 × 2

➡ Diameter = 14cm

Hence,

✒Perimeter of each semi circular disc = Circumference of semicircle + Diameter

➡ Perimeter of each semi circular disc = 22cm + 14cm

Perimeter of each semi circular disc = 36cm.
