Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we will get how much time all three cyclists take to cover a circumference of 240 km

So, the time taken for cyclist1 = 240/30 = 8 days

So, the time taken for cyclist2 = 240/40 = 6 days

So, the time taken for cyclist3 = 240/48 = 5 days

Here, LCM of 8, 6, 5 = 120

So, they will meet after 120 days.

Now, in 120 days, first cyclist will travel = 120/30 = 4 rounds

In 120 days, second cyclist will travel = 120/40 = 3 rounds

In 120 days, third cyclist will travel = 120/48 = 2.5 rounds

So, after 120 days, all the 3 cyclists will meet at starting point.
