diameter of flower bed=66cm

so radius=66/2=33cm

area of the flower bed with the path

=πr²=22/7*37²

area of the flower bed=πr²=22/7*33²

area of the path= area of the flower bed with the path-area of the flower bed

=22/7*37²-22/7*33²

=22/7(37²-33²)    (distributive property of multiplication over subtraction)

=22/7(37+33)(37-33)     (∵ a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b)  (law of exponents)

=22/7(70)(4)

=22(10)(4)

=880cm²

You can also calculate the areas first and then subtract. I used this method to make my calculation easier.
