Answer:

let radius of garden=x m

then , area of garden= πx^2

garden has 4 m wide path ,

so it form a bigger circle

radius of this circle= x+4 m

area of the circle=π(x+4)^2

area of path= area of bigger circle-area of garden

area= π(x+4)^2 -π(x)^2

area=π[(x+4)^2-(x)^2]

area= 1408

so, 1408=22/7[(x+4)^2-(x)^2]

1408×7/22=x^2+16+8x-x^2

128×7=16+8x

896=16+8x

880=8x

x=880/8=110m

so radius of garden is 110 m
