Area of path= area of whole figure - area of garden
radius of garden= Diameter/2
= 140/2
= 70 m
Area of garden=
\pi \: r ^{2}
= 22/7×70×70
=22×700
= 15400 m^2
Radius of whole figure= 70+3.5+3.5= 77 m
Area of whole figure= 22/7×77×77
= 22×847
= 18634 m^2
therefore, area of path= 18634 - 15400
= 3234 m^2
