Given:

  • Radius of circular ground = 56 m
  • Width of road = 7 m

To find:

  • Area of road?

Solution:

We know that,

Shape of Ground is circular.

Therefore,

Area of circular ground = πr²

→ 22/7 × 56 × 56

→ 22 × 8 × 56

9856 m²

Now,

Finding area of circular ground including road,

where,

  • Radius = 56 + 7 = 63 m

Therefore,

Area of circular ground including road,

→ 22/7 × 63 × 63

→ 22 × 63 × 9

12474 m²

Therefore,

★ Area of road = Area of circular ground including road - Area of circular ground

→ Area of road = 12474 - 9856

→ Area of road = 2618 m²

Hence, Area of road is 2618 m².

Question given:-

A circular ground has radius 56cm. A 7m wide road runs outside and around it. Find the area of the road.

Given Values:

  • Circular ground having radius=56cm
  • There is one road that runs outside around the circle and it's width is 7m.

We have to find:

↠The area of the road.

Solution:

Radius of the circle ground (given)=56m

Area of circular ground \rm{=πr²}

\rm{=}\dfrac{22}{7}×56²

\rm{=}\dfrac{22}{7}×3136

\rm{=22×448}

\rm{=9856m²}

\rm{Width\:of\:road=7m}

Area of the circular ground including road \rm{=πr²}

First find the Radius of the circle including road.

\rm\mapsto{Radius=56+7}

\rm\mapsto{Radius=63}

Now,

\rm\pink\leadsto\pink{★Area=πr²}

\rm\leadsto{Area=}\dfrac{22}{7}×(63)²

\rm\leadsto{Area=}\dfrac{22}{7}×3969

\rm\leadsto{Area=22×567}

\rm\leadsto{Area=12,474}

___________________________

The area of the road=Area of the circular ground along with road{-}Area of the circular ground

Putting the values

\rm\leadsto{12,474-9856}

\rm\leadsto{2618\:m}^{2}
