Given : A circular ground of radius 50 meter is sorrounded by a 5 meter wide road.

rate of tiling per  square meter is 30 rupees.

To find : the total cost of tiling  the road

Solution:

Radius of Ground = 50 m

surrounded by a 5 meter wide road

Radius including road =  50 + 5 = 55 m

Area of circle = π Radius²

Area of Ground  =  π * 50²   m²

Area of Ground  including road =  π * 55²  m²

Area of Road =  π * 55²  - π * 50²    m²

= π * (105)5

π  =22/7

= (22/7) 105 * 5

= 22 * 15 * 5

= 1650 m²

rate of tiling per  square meter is 30 rupees.

total cost of tiling  = 1650 x 30  = 49500  Rs

the total cost of tiling  the Road = 49500  Rs
