A circular lawn is uniformly 7meters wide and its inner edge is 440 meters . calculate the radius of the inner circle and the area of the lawns.

here's ur answer...

given that the edge of inner circle is 440m

therefore circumference of inner circle in the lawn is 440m

=> 2πr = 440m

=> 2×22/7×r = 440m

=> 44/7×r = 440m

=> r = 440/1×7/44

=> r = 10×7

=> r = 70m

VERIFICATION:-

circumference of inner circle = 2πr

= 2×22/7×70

= 44×10

= 440m

hence verified

thus the radius of the inner circle is 70m.

total radius of the lawn = 70+7

= 77m

area of the lawn = πr²

= 22/7×77×77

= 22×11×77

= 18634m²
