Given :-

  • Radius of the park, r = 15 m
  • Width of the road = 2 m
  • Radius of the park with the road, R = 15 + 2 = 17 m

To Find :-

The area of the road.

Solution :-

◘ Area of the park = πr²

⇒Area of the park = 22/7 × (15)²

⇒Area of the park =(22 × 225)/7

⇒Area of the park = 707.14 m²

◘ Area of the park with the road = πR²

⇒Area of the park with the road = 22/7 × (17)²

⇒Area of the park with the road = (22 × 289)/7

⇒Area of the park with the road = 908.28 m²

Area of the road = Area of the park with the road - Area of the park

⇒Area of the road = 908.28 - 707.14

⇒Area of the road = 201.14 m²
