a circular path is enclosed by two concentric circles.if the outer circumference of the path is 88cm and the uniform width of path is 3.5cm,find area of path

Circumference of outer circle =88
2πr=88
πr=44
r=44×7/22
r=14
3.5 cm of path is created inside it
so the radius of small circle =14-3.5=10.5
Area of path = Area of big circle - Area of small circle.
=πR^2-πr^2
=π(R^2-r^2)
=π(R+r)(R-r)
=22/7×(14+10.5)(14-10.5)
=22/7×24.5×3.5
=22×24.5×.5
=269.5cm^2
