given

  • Circumference of flower bed = 88m
  • Let the radius of flower bed = r
  • 2×22/7×r = 88
  • r = 14m
  • Circumference of circular path = 132m
  • Let the radius of circular path = R
  • 2×22/7×R = 132
  • R = 21m
  • width of circular path = R - r = 21 - 14
  • = 7m
  • Area of path = area of circular path - area of flower bed
  • = 22/7×21×21 - 22/7×14×14
  • =1386 - 616
  • = 770 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Outer circumference = 132cm.

= 2πr = 132

= 2×22/7×R= 132

= R = 132×7/44

= R = 21cm.

Inner circumference = 88cm.

= 2πr = 88

= 2×22/7×r = 88

= 44/7×r = 88

= r = 88×7/44

= r = 14cm.

Therefore,width of the path = R-r

= 21-14 = 7cm.

Area of the path = πr²-πr²

= π ( R²-r²)

= ((21)²-(14)²)

=22/7 (441-196)

= 22/7(246)

=22×35

=770cm².
