radius of the circular cloth= 1m
additional cloth required = 40 cm = 0.4 m
so total  radius of the cloth required for stitching
        r =1m + 0.4m  = 1.4m
so the area of the cloth required
  A= pi*r^2
    = 22/7*1.4*1.4
    =6.16 m^2    answer

brkkhan: 40 centimeter is additional clothes area
brkkhan: or width

Solution:-

Radius of the circular seat = 1 m or 100 cm
Radius of the cloth all around the seat required for stitching purpose = 40 cm
Total radius of the cloth required for both purposes = 100 cm + 40 cm = 140 cm
Area of the cloth = πr²
⇒ 22/7*140*140
⇒ 431200/7
⇒ 61600 sq cm
So, the area of the required cloth is 61600 sq cm.
