Area of base of pillar = 22÷7×25×25
= 1962 sq. cm
=0.0020 sq. m(approx)
Force exerted =500 N

Pressure =Force÷Area
= 500÷0.002
=2,50,000 pa
Thus , pressure exerted by pillar is 2,50,000pa.

Hi there !!

Here ,

Radius of the base = 25 cm

Area of the base , that is , base area of cylinder = πr²
                                                                                  = 3.14 × (25
 )²
                                                                                  = 3.14 × 625
                                                                                  = 1962.5 cm
²
                                                                                  = 0.19625 m²

Thrust = Force = 500 N

Pressure = Thrust
÷ Area
               = 500 ÷ 0.19625
               = 2547.77 Pa ( approx.)
