a circular plot of ground of radius 42metres is surrounded by a ring of grass plot. Find the width of the grass plot if it's area is equal to that of the circular plot.

Hey guys
Radius of circular plot. r=42m
Area of circular plot =22/7*r^2
=22/7*42*42=5544 msq
Total area with grass plot=5544+5544=11088
Now 22/7*R^2=11088
R^2=11088*7/22
R^2=3528
R=59.39
So width of grass plot =R-r=59.39-42=17.39m
