Answer:

inner circumference = 220/7 m or 31.4 m

Area of path = 528/7 m² or 75.4 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

given: circumference of outer path C = 44 m

width of circular path W = 2 m

to find: inner circumference c

area of the path A

let R be the outer radius and r be the inner radius

C = 2πR

=> 44 = 2*22/7*R

=> R = (44*7)/22*2

=> R = 7 m

therefore inner radius r = R - width W

=> r = 7 - 2 => 5 m

(1) inner circumference c = 2πr

c = 2*22/7*5

c = 220/7 m => 31.4 m

(2) area of the path A = outer area - inner area

A = πR² - πr²

A = π [ R² - r² ]

A = 22/7 [ 49 - 25 ]

A = 22/7*24

A = 528/7 m² => 75.4 m²
