A circular pond is surrounded by a 2 m wide circular path. If outer circumference of circular path

is 44 m, find the inner circumference of the circular path. Also find area of the path.​

Answer:

circumference of outer circle = 44

22/7*r=44m

r=44m*(7/22)

r=14m

radius of pond =radius of outer circle - path

12m=14m-2m

circumference of inner circle= 12m(22/7)

= 37.7m

area of the path = area of outer circle - area of inner circle

area of outer circle is (22/7)r*r

3.14*14m*14m

616m*m

area of inner circle is (22/7)r*r

3.14*12m*12m

452.5m*m

area of Path is 616m*m-452.5m*m

=163.5m*m
