The radius of the inner circle is 5 m.

The area of the path is 75.43 m².

Explanation:

The circumference of the outer circle is 44 m.

Circumference = 2πr

∴ 44 = 2×(22/7)×r

⇒ r = (44×7)/(2×22)

⇒ r = 7 m

∴ The radius of the inner circle = (7-2) m

                                                 = 5 m.

The area of the outer circle =(πr²)

                                             = (22/7) ×(7)²

                                             = (22 × 7 ×7/7)

                                            = (22×7)

                                           = 154 m².

Similarly, the area of the smaller circle = (22/7)×(5)²

                                                                = (22×5×5/7)

                                                                = 78.57 m².

∴ The area of the path = (154.00 - 78.57) m²

                                          = 75.43 m²

∴ The area of the path is 75.43 m².
