Given:

Diameter of a circular pond = 12m.

Width of a circular pond = 2m.

Cost = ₹200 per sq.m.

To find:

The cost incurred.

Solution:

Area of path = Outer circle area - Inner circle area.

Outer circle area = (172/2m + 2)

⟹ 10.75m.

Outer circle area = πr²

⟹ 3.14 × (60.15)² m²

⟹ 362.86 m²

Inner circle radius = 17.5/2

⟹ 8.75m

Inner circle area = πr²

⟹ 3.14 × (8π)²

⟹ 240.40m²

Area of path = Outer - Inner area.

⟹ 362.86 - 240.40

⟹ 122.46m²

Cost incurred,

⟹ 122.46 × 25

⟹ ₹ 3061.5

The cost incurred is ₹ 3061.5.
