Circumference of circle= 2πr
=2×22\7 ×6m
=44\7×6
=37.69m
Radius of circle =6+1
=7m

Area of path = πr sq.
=22\7×7×7
=22×7
=154m sq.

Answer: The area of the path is 40.82 sq. metres

• The area of the path will be given by subtracting the area of the pond with radius 6m from the area of a circle of 7m.

• The area of the pond is,

πx6x6 sq. metres

=3.14x36 sq. metres

=113.04 sq. metres

• The area of the circle of radius 7m is,

πx7x7 sq. metres

=3.14x49 sq. metres

=153.86 sq. metres

• The area of the path =(153.86-113.04) sq. metres

=40.82 sq. metres

Thus the required answer 40.82 sq. metres.
