Explanation:

given that:

circumferrance of circle=3140m

find radius,

2×22/7×r=3140

44/7×r=3140

r=3140×7/44

r=785×7/11

r=499.5m

(a)distance=22/7×r

=22/7×499.5=1569.8m

(b)diplacement = 2×499.5=999m

(c)distance= 1569.5m

speed=10m/s

time = distance/speed

= 1569.5/10

= 156.95 sec

Answer :-

a) 1568.55 m

b) 999.08 m

c) 156.9 s

Given:-

Circumference of track = 3140 m

Uniform speed = 10 m/s

To find :-

 (a)  distance covered by the Scooterist.

 (b)  displacement of the scooterist.

 (c)  time taken by the scooterist in.

Solution :-

Circumference of circle =  2 \pi   r

 3140 = 2 ×\dfrac {22}{7} r

 r = \dfrac {3140 × 7}{2 × 22}

 r = 499.54 m

Now, Distance travelled is equal to half of circumference

\therefore D = \pi r

 S = \dfrac{314}{100}× 499.54

 S = 1568.55 m

2) Displacement covered is equal to the diameter of track

 S = 2r

 S = 2 × 499.54

 S = 999.08m

3) Time taken by scooterist is equal to distance / speed.

 T = \dfrac {S}{V}

 T = \dfrac {1568.55} {10}

 T = 156.9 s
