A circular track has a circumference of 3140 metre with ab as one of its diameter.a scooterist moves from A to b along circular path with a uniform speed of 10m/s. find distance covered by the scooterist,displacement of the scooterist,time taken by the scooterist in reaching from a to b?

If the circumference is 3140 metres and AB is the diameter.
Then the Distance from A to B would be half the circumference i.e. 31402 1570 metres.

Now,The units are Distance 1570 m
Speed 10 m/s

So Time- Distance Speed 1570 ÷10= 157 seconds

And the Displacement is the Diameter.

So,π=Circumference ÷Diameter πx Diameter= Circumference

Diameter =Circumference÷π
(To make things Simpler are taking the first Three 3 digits of pi i.e. 3.14 as 22/7- 3.1415.....)
=3140÷ 3.14
=>3140÷3.14= 1000
So the Displacement or Diameter= 1000 Metres
And the Time 157 seconds.

Answer:I hope it will help you

Explanation:

Part (a)

Step 1: Distance Calculation

The distance covered is the actual path length between point A and B.

Distance covered, D= Half of the circumference =

2

3140

=1570m

Part (b)

Step 2: Displacement Calculation

Displacement is the shortest distance between the initial and final points. Here, the shortest distance between A and B is the diameter AB.

                 d=AB

Circumference =3140=2πR

                       ⇒   R=500m

∴AB=2R=1000m

Displacement, d=1000m

Part(c)

Step 3: Time Calculation

Time taken by the scootrist in reaching from A to B:

           t=

Speed

Distance

   =

10m/s

1570(m)

            ⇒t=157s
