A circular track of radius 100m is banked at an angle of 30°. if the coefficient of friction between the wheels of a car and the road is 0.5, than what is the:-

(1)

The optimum speed of the racing car is given as

vo = [Rgtanθ]1/2

here,

R = 300m

θ = 15o

so,

vo = 300 x 10 x tan15

thus,

vo = 28.06 m/s

..

(2)

The maximum permissible speed is given as

here,

μ = 0.2

so,

thus, we get

vm = 38.13 m/
