Given :-
- Diameter of circular well = 2 meters
- Depth of circular well = 14 meters
To Find :-
- The volume of the earth dugged out = ?
Solution :-
- In the question we are given the diameter of the circular well. So, first of all we have to calculate the radius of the circular well and it is also given that depth of circular well is 14 meters. Here, depth means nothing but height. So, consider depth = height. :]
Let's calculate the radius of circular well :
➝ Radius = Diameter ÷ 2
➝ Radius = 2 ÷ 2
➝ Radius = 1 meter
Therefore, radius of circular well is 1 cm.
Now, let's calculate Volume of earth dugged out :
➻ Volume of earth dugged out = πr²h
➻ Volume of earth dugged out = 22/7 × (1)² × 14
➻ Volume of earth dugged out = 22 × 1 × 2
➻ Volume of earth dugged out = 44 m³
Hence, the volume of earth dugged out is 44 m³.
