A circus tent is made of canvas and is in the form of right circular cylinder and a right circular cone above it . The daimeter and height of the cylindrical part of the tent are 126meter and 5 meter retrospectively the total height of the tent is 21meter . Find the total cost of the canvas used to make the tent when the cost per meter square of the canvas is rupees 15

given that, diameter =126 cm
radius =126/2=63
height = 5 cm
CSA of cylinder = 2πrh
=2*22/7*63*5
= 44*9*5
=1980 Sq.m
Also given, total length of tent=21m
length of cone = total length of tent - length of cylinder
=21-5=16m
so,length of cone =16m
slant height(l)=√sq.r + sq. h
= √63*63+16*16
= √3969+256
=√4225
= 65
CSA of cone = πrl
= 22/7*63*65
=22*9*65
=198*65
= 4950 sq.m
total area of tent =CSA of cone + CSA of cylinder
=4950+1980
=6930 sq.m
According to Question,
cost given for 1 sq.m=repees15
So, cost of 6930 sq.m=6930*15
=1,93,905 Rupees
