total height of tent = 50m

height of the conical part = 15m

radius of base = 20m

curved surface area of conical part = pie*r*l

= 1571.42m

height of cylindrical part = 50m - 15m

= 35m

radius = 20m

curved surface area of cylindrical part = 2*pie*r*h

= 4400m

total curved surface area of tent = 1571.42m + 4400m

= 5971.42m

curved surface area of tent = area of cloth required

so, the cost of cloth required = 5971.42m*Rs14

= Rs83599.88

Answer:

Total cost for the required cloth is Rs 83,524

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, height of the tent = 50 m

for conical part, height = 15 m and radius = 20 m

thus, height of cylindrical part = 50-15 = 35 m

slant height of  conical part = \sqrt{15^{2} + 20^{2} } = \sqrt{625} = 25 m

CSA of conical part = πrl

               = 3.14× 20× 25 = 1570 m²

CSA of cylindrical part = 2πrh

                                  = 2 ×3.14× 20×35  = 4396 m²

total area of cloth required to make the tent = CSA of conical part + CSA of cylindrical part

                                 = 1570+ 4396 = 5966 m²

Total cost for the required cloth = 5966× 14 = Rs 83,524
