∴ In 1 hour, 91 part of the cistern will be filled.

Again, it takes (9+1) hours =10 hrs. to fill the cistern due to a leak. 

∴ In 1 hour, 1/10 part of the cistern will be filled when it leakes.

So, in 1 hour 1/9 −1/10 part

= 1/90 part will be emptied.

so ,the full cistern will be emptied in 1/1/90
