Answer:

50 paise ticket passenger is 28

1 Rs. ticket passenger is 42

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

The number of passengers with 50 paise ticket = x

The number of passengers with Rs. 1 ticket = 70 - x

Recieved total amount = Rs. 56

50p. (x)

0.5x

1 Rs. (70 - x )

70 - x

According to the question

⇒ 0.5x + 70 - x = 56

⇒ 0.5x + 70 - x = 56

⇒ 0.5x - x = 56 - 70

⇒ - 0.5x = - 14

⇒ 0.5x = 14

⇒ x = 14 / 0.5

⇒ x = 28

The number of passengers with 50 paise ticket = 28

The number of passengers with Rs. 1 ticket = 70 - x

⇒ 70 - 28

⇒ 42

The number of passengers with Rs. 1 ticket = 42

Therefore,

50 paise ticket passenger is 28

1 Rs. ticket passenger is 42

Solution:

Let the number of passengers that were

charged 50 paise be 'x' and the passengers

that were charged Rs. 1 be 70 - x.

Total amount received Rs. 56

Therefore, according to the question

0.5x+(7O -x)1 = 565

0.5x+ 70 - x = 56

0.5x - x = 56 - 70

- 0.5x = - 14

X = 14/0.5

X 28

28 passengers were charged 50 paise.

And, the number of passengers who were

charged Rs. 1 were 70 28 42.
