Some cities are simply better in the winter. Perhaps it’s the cold bluish air in the afternoon which makes the world mystical; sometimes it’s the streets lit by old street lamps. Or often, it’s just a delightful marathon of savoring warm hearty food in a gourmet destination.

I don’t mind the sun fading away at 4 p.m. when the city goes on illuminating with festive lights while the demure moonlight (which looks whiter in the cold air) gives a strange allure to the world. It’s not hard to embrace the low temperature when it comes along with many things that bring coziness and warmth.
