Let no. of boys in the class be x,∴ no. of girls =x+4
When no. of boys present in a class = x−8 then no. of girls =2×no. of boys=2(x−8)
No. of girls =x+4=2(x−8)⇒2x−x=16+4⇒x=20
No. of boys =x=20
No. of girls =x+4=20+4=24
