A class has 8 more girls, than boys. One day when only 6 boys were absent, the number of girls was twice that of the boys. How many girl's &boys are there in the class?​

Boys = 20, Girls = 28

Let number of boys = x

Number of girls = x+8

According to condition,

2(x-6) = x+8

2x - 12 = x+8

2x-x = 8+12

x = 20

Number of boys = 20

Number of girls = 20+8 =28 answer
