Number  \: of \:  periods = 7 \:  and  \: 1

Number  \: of \:  duration = 5 \times \frac{1}{4}   =  \frac{21}{4} and \: x

x1y1 = x2y2

7 \times  \frac{21}{4} = 1 \times x

x =   \frac{ 7 \times 21}{4 \times 1}

x = 36.75

Given,

a class has 7 periods in a day and total time is

5 \frac{1}{4} hrs  \: =  >  \:  \frac{21}{4} hrs

find time for one period.

Solution :-

let time for one period be x .

then,

\rm⇢ \: \: x =  \frac{ \frac{21}{4} }{7}

\rm⇢ \: \: x =  \frac{21}{4}  \times  \frac{1}{7}

\rm⇢ \: \: x =  \frac{3}{4} hrs \:  =  45min
