Given:-

length = 10 m

breadth = 8 m

height = 5 m

area of four walls (lateral surface area)

= 2 × (length + breadth) × height

= 2 × (10 + 8) × 5

= 2 × 18 × 5

= 36 × 5

= 180 cm square.

area of the floor (base area)

= length × breadth

= 10 × 8

= 80 cm square.

now,

the area of both four wall and the floor

= area of four walls + area of floor

= 180 + 80

= 260 cm square.
