a class room is 12 m long, 5 m wide and 3m high. how many pupils should it be used for if each pupil required 5 m cube of air space ?

find the volume of classroom, i.e., l x b x h
= 12 x 5 x 3
= 180 m^3
now, divide 
 180 / 5 = 36
so 36 people can sit in it.
