This story is taken from the bengali novel,Pather panchali(The Song of the road),by bibutibhushan bandhopadhyay.
Oneday he had opened the wooden chest which was crammed with old books in which he saw,"An anthology of ancient philosophical works".He opened the book and saw that the book mentioned a method through which a person will be capable of flying. Seeing it, Opu was overwhelmed with joy. He wanted to fly and believed in it.
The book stated that when an individual drops some amount of mercury on a vulture's egg, and then when he/she takes in his/her mouth, the person will be able to fly.
Opu believed that it was true. ok
