Solution:-

• If his salary in 2018 be 100, so his salary in 2019 be (100+20) =120
• So, his salary in 2018 is :-
• $\dashrightarrow \: \frac{100}{120} \times 180000$
• $\bigg[ \frac{100}{100 + 10 } \times a \bigg]$
• $\implies \: \: ₹150000$

Hence, his salary in 2018 was ₹15000.
