Diabetic ulcers are also called as venous ulcers . Venous ulcers are treated with compression of legs to minimize edema or swelling . Compression treatment includes wearing compression stockings, multilayer compression wraps,an ACE bandage or dressing wraps from toes or foot to area below knee. Then by compression treatment prescribed is determined by physician based on characteristics of ulcers base and amount of drainge from ulcer.
