Answer:

3 hr 46 min 45 sec PM

Step-by-step explanation:

Clock gain 10 mins in a day

1 day = 24 hrs = 1440 min

10 min gained in 1440 min

so clock display 1440 + 10 = 1450 min in actual time of 1440 min

Time Displayed from 8 Am to 4 PM next day = 24 + 8  = 32 hrs

32 hrs = 32 × 60 = 1920 mins

when clock display 1450 mins then actual time = 1440 min

when clock display 1 min then actual time = 1440/1450 min

when clock display 1920 min then actual time = (1440/1450)*1920 min

= 1906.76 min

Time gained by clock  = 1920 - 1906.76 = 13.24 mins = 13 min 15 sec approx

So actual time would be 4 PM - (13 min 15 sec)

= 3 hr 46 min 45 sec PM
