 s.p \: = rs \: .336 \\ profit \: = s.p - c.p \: = rs.(336 - x) \\ by \: the \: condition \: \% profit \: = \frac{profit}{c.p} \times 100 \\ x \: = \frac{336 - x}{x} \: \times 100 \\ { x}^{2} = 33600 - 100x \\ {x}^{2} + 100x \: - 33600 = 0

This is the required equation.
